Kew and BGCI celebrate the start of the International Diploma in Botanic Garden Education

The long awaited International Diploma in Botanic Garden Education finally gets underway. Ten students from around the globe were welcomed onto the five week course by the organisers Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and BGCI.

The course is offering the students a broad and comprehensive training in botanic garden education. Topics include: the theory and development of education for sustainability; audience development; interpretation; international policy and legislation; schools education; community; volunteers; festivals; social media; project development, and; fundraising for education.
