The arboretum showcases a diverse collection of plants endemic to the Mediterranean region and species sourced from across the globe. Located in the Hisarönü Gulf in the Mediterranean, the site is accessible only by sea, with no road connection. Every plant in the collection was transported individually by a small boat, making the arboretum a true labor of dedication.
Designed with the core principle of sustainability, the arboretum features flora that thrives in the local microclimate with minimal water and maintenance. A key principle of our arboretum is to preserve and sustain plants that are becoming extinct in their natural habitats, ensuring their survival for future generations.
Among its highlights is an extensive agave collection, boasting 250 distinct species of Agave, Manfreda, and Mangave. The garden also houses a remarkable array of Yucca, cacti, palms, and an extraordinary collection of cycads from the Encephalartos, Cycas, Macrozamia, Dioon, Ceratozamia, and Zamia genera.
