Calvary Cemetery and Arboretum

Calvary Cemetery is one of Dayton, Ohio’s most beautiful and historic landmarks. Located at 1625 Calvary Drive in south Dayton, it sits near the communities of Kettering, Oakwood, and Moraine. The cemetery overlooks parts of the Miami Valley and provides scenic views of the Dayton skyline. Today, it encompasses about 200 acres of rolling hills and open green space, making it one of the largest green areas in Montgomery County.

The grounds are known for their peaceful beauty. Winding roads follow the natural contours of the hills, while mature shade trees line many sections of the cemetery. Visitors can find large oaks, maples, evergreens, and other established trees that create a park-like setting throughout the property. The changing seasons bring colorful spring blossoms, lush summer greenery, brilliant autumn foliage, and quiet winter landscapes. The cemetery’s combination of rolling terrain, historic monuments, and mature trees makes it a place of reflection and natural beauty.
