City of East Point
Chartered in 1887, City of East Point remains committed to sustaining arboreta and botanic gardens through development of its new parks and trails. The City is known for its Hank Aaron Oak Tree and Pink Lady’s Slipper Orchids, an endangered plant species, both located in Connally Nature Park. Additionally, City of East Point is working towards registering Hank Aaron Oak Tree into the American Forests Champion Trees National Register to recognize it as a tourist destination. tengo
