Jim Roberts Community Park and Arboretum
Nestled along the banks of the West Fork of Drakes Creek, Jim Roberts Community Park and Arboretum in Franklin, Kentucky, serves as both a living classroom and a sanctuary for native and ornamental trees and plants. Spanning more than 200 acres, the arboretum showcases the diverse ecosystems of south-central Kentucky, from bottomland hardwoods to upland forests and prairies. Visitors can explore collections of native oaks, maples, ashes, and sycamores that highlight the beauty and ecological importance of regional biodiversity.
Beyond its ecological value, the arboretum functions as an outdoor learning space for students, community members, and visitors. Our ongoing commitment to conservation and education encourages guests to connect with the environment and deepen their understanding of the vital role trees play in healthy ecosystems.
