Laguna Gloria Arboretum

The Laguna Gloria Arboretum is located on a 12-acresculpture garden in the central Austin. The park is situated on Lake Austin in the unique and beautiful Edwards Plateau and features a lagoon, shoreline, dry mesic slope, woodland, and a meadow. This arboretum is focused solely on native Texas plants and trees with a focus on habitat creation and conservation. The collection features some gigantic and stunning bald cypresses, dramatic and gestural live oaks, as well as a plethora of interesting under story trees and woody plants. The hope is to connect visitors to the flora and fauna that exists around them in the lovely slice of the world and to appreciate what central Texas ecology looks like. Visitors can expect to see an array of birds, lizards, and maybe even armadillos when walking the grounds. They are dedicated to the stewardship of this special and historic site.
