Lewis University is a veritable arboretum with over 60 varieties of deciduous trees on its main campus. From 1979 to 1989, 198 trees from 36 species were planted as part of a campus beautification project.
A walking tour of the campus was produced so that visitors could explore the many trees in their natural settings. A brochure for the tour provides information on each of the trees, and details a walking guide to see the 47 featured trees.
