Olive W. and George S. Lee Memorial Garden (Lee Garden) is a beautiful 2.7-acre woodland treasure in New Canaan, Connecticut. Established in 1940 by George Lee, this special place has narrow meandering paths edged with spring-blooming bulbs, ephemerals, ferns, herbaceous plants, an extensive collection of specimen azaleas and rhododendrons, as well as the mature native oaks, maples, tulip, and hemlocks that provide dappled shade. Boulder drifts, rocky ledges and a vernal pool add natural structure to the densely planted terrain. Whether you’re strolling along the woodchip paths or relaxing by our lovely new waterfall feature on the patio, there is so much natural beauty to enjoy.

Since 1978, the New Canaan Beautification League has cared for Lee Garden, and more recently with the University of Connecticut Master Gardeners and Master Gardener interns keeping this historic spot thriving.
