The Park District of La Grange, founded 1929, provides 11 locations of vibrant parks and recreation resources for more than 15,000 residents. Located 14 miles from southwest Chicago, the park district serves a 3-mile area situated in the historic Village of La Grange. The park district maintains and protects 94 species in an 848-tree inventory across 78.5 acres of parkland. Trees are a vital element of this parkland, a natural resource that enhance the social and economic value of the community, supports wildlife, and protects the environment. The park district is dedicated to ensuring the care and diversity of the canopy, now and far into the future.
