Park of Roses

Description

The Park of Roses, a 13-acre public rose garden, is nestled in the 136-acre Whetstone Park.  The Park of Roses is operated by the Forestry Section of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.

The trees and shrubs surrounding the beds of 12,500 roses create a beautiful frame for the garden, while extending seasonal interest for park visitors.  In addition, the diverse planting provides food and cover for wildlife.  The park is open from dawn to dusk every day of the year and there is no charge for admission.
