Riverview Cemetery Arboretum
Located on forty-two verdant acres in Northeast Wilmington, this Victorian garden cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and provides green space for thousands of city residents. The Friends of Historic Riverview Cemetery(FHRC) operate the cemetery and have undertaken revitalization efforts since 2009. The grounds include hundreds of trees, including 48 different species, making this a vital and beautiful part of the city. Annual events include Arbor Day celebrations and tree walks. Riverview Cemetery is the city of Wilmington’s first recognized arboretum.
