Simmons Road Park

The City of Fernandina Beach provides Simmons Road Park as a 6.5 acre property that preserves and showcases Amelia Island’s natural beauty and gives residents places to sit, walk, grow and play.  The Park’s location adjacent to the Amelia River-to-Sea trail could not be more perfect; providing a rest stop with a tree canopy cover for shade.

When Simmons Road Park opened in 2021, it offered the first universally accessible nature trail on Amelia Island.  The mission of Simmons Road Park Arboretum is to provide residents and visitors a peaceful place to relax, rest in the shade of the diverse tree species, and learn more about the horticultural collections of the park.

Residents and visitors will be more aware of the benefits of a healthy ecosystem and the positive impact of an immersive nature experience.
