Shawnee Hills Village Arboretum
The Village of Shawnee Hills Arboretum is a living museum which includes their entire village. The village is less than one half square mile in size. The majority of their trees are located in public spaces. Some specimens are located along village streets and others are on private property but visible from the street. We encourage the planting of native trees in an effort to support nature.
However, there are some interesting non native trees listed. They have an eclectic mix, from maples to a golden chain tree and are an America in Bloom community. They have won their Urban Forestry award and were nominated for their floral impact.
