The Water Conservation Garden
The mission of The Water Conservation Garden is to educate and inspire through excellent exhibits and programs that promote water conservation and the sustainable use of related natural resources.
The Water Conservation Garden spans nearly six acres, offering a variety of stunning themed gardens that demonstrate water-wise landscaping. Visitors can explore a native plant garden, a formal garden, a compost exhibit, a vegetable garden, and educational displays on mulch and irrigation. The Garden is also home to the seasonal Native Butterfly Pavilion, open each spring and summer
The Garden provides a wide range of programs and services, including:
Workshops focused on Gardening, Sustainability, Art, and Wellness.
Educational programs for adults, youth, and community groups.
The Dorcas E. Utter Butterfly Pavilion, showcasing native Southern California butterflies and their preferred host and nectar plants.
School tours and large group tours by appointment.
Landscape design consultations (currently on hold).
Large events throughout the year, including festivals and plant sales with family-friendly activities.
Private event hosting, such as fundraisers, weddings, and ceremonies.
A volunteer-run gift shop featuring a curated selection of unique, locally crafted items, including art, photography, jewelry, upcycled crafts, and garden essentials.
