Yellowstone Arboretum

Description
Encompassing 70 acres on the grounds of ZooMontana, the Yellowstone Arboretum offers visitors views of almost 200 species of trees and woody shrubs. The arboretum is a culmination of over 25 years of dedicated volunteer work with a look at both native and non-native specimens in a natural and park-like setting.

The arboretum is connected by a series of paved pathways that leads visitors to both Zoo exhibits and tree gardens such as the "Beartooth Pinetum" and "Asian Garden". Walking tours are offered year round and tree talks are scheduled during summer months. The arboretum's uniqueness lies in the "Montana rare" specimens and their survival in the microclimates of the grounds and the harsh Montana winters.
