The Burlington Arboretum at Willowbrook Park

Description

The Burlington Arboretum at Willowbrook Park is a renovated passive park with existing trees and hundreds of newly planted trees, that will change as the trees grow and mature in the years ahead. In addition, thousands of new shrubs and flowering plants will completely alter the Arboretums aesthetics, reflecting the diversity of our natural world and our stewardship values. The Arboretum has themed gardens with many collections of different species. Collections include Hydrangeas, Camellias, Azaleas, Roses, Hostas, Daylilies, Conifers. A Fern and a native plant collection have recently been added in addition to many native plant species located throughout the park. The renovated stream that flows through the Arboretum offers many native plants and serves as an oasis for wildlife in the city. The Arboretum provides educational experiences through programming and additional leisure activities for the public.
